1.Proxies add little to processing time or latency and thus retain most of the raw network speed, whereas VPNS significantly increase latency and reduce download speeds due to the encryption/decryption process. The stronger the encryption and obfuscation, the slower things move.
2. Proxies are usually free or cost very little, because there is very little processing power and load on the server. By contrast, most VPNS are paid subscription services, free options often have bandwidth limitations or many providers don't offer them at all, and monthly subscriptions are often a bit more expensive than paid proxy servers.
3. Proxies require configuration or separate types of agents to browse, download, play online, etc., which need to be managed on a per-application basis. A VPN, on the other hand, handles all outbound network traffic, regardless of the program from which it originated.
4. Both proxies and VPNS allow you to access geographically restricted content by assigning you AN IP based on the selected server location rather than your real IP. VPNS tend to be more successful in accessing geographically restricted content because THEY tend to have a larger base of IP addresses and servers to choose from, and content providers actively take steps to block proxies and VPNS.
5. VPNS encrypt your traffic and provide comprehensive protection against information leakage between you and the target server, whereas proxies do not provide such protection.
If you need multiple different proxy IP, we recommend using RoxLabs proxy, including global Residential proxies, with complimentary 500MB experience package for a limited time.
